Goodie Bag #12

Once again it's time for the Goodie Bag. Here we go.

A couple of little bleeps caught my attention off of Gotta Dance Dirty. These guys update several times a day, usually with great stuff. The first is from Ocelot, and it samples heavily from that classic 80's funk beat, 'Hit And Run' from the Bar-Kays. Nu Disco meets Electro for great effect.

Next up, and shortly there after I found a fantastic remix of Clockwork by Valerna. If you've been keep up with the blogs you've probably seen this one already, but here it is anyway. Great ambiance builds up into a Dutch-esque drop that will get almost any dancefloor moving for sure.

I found a few little bleeps from Nom de Strip the other day. The guy brings his own funky electro twist on some little bleeps that I thought were completely played/remixed out. He does a remix of Meet Her At Love Parade. A bit of a fearless move on his part, but he did a surprisingly good job, and I found myself nodding to the beat the whole time.

Religion comes back with a new remix. This time of the Felix Cartel for great effect. Definitely an electro banger!

A friend showed me this bootleg remix the other day of The XX. Flufftronix does an interesting Dubstep rendition that sounds great. Melodic indie music meets Dubstep, yeah.

Sweet Little Bleeps favorite, Omega, does a rework of an edit of a little bleep from another favorite, Breakage. When I saw posted on Omega's soundcloud, I knew it had to be a recipe for success, and I was right. The more I listen to it the more I like it. It starts off in typical mellow Breakage style, and slowly builds into something more.

We have a HUGE update from Play Me Records, probably worthy of its own post. With artists like Cybertronix, Mark Instinct, and We Bang topping the Dubstep charts on Beatport, Play Me Records is definitely here to stay. They are giving away a number of little bleeps in the coming months but they posted a remix from Bare (not to be confused with Bare Noize) of something most of you will probably recognize ;).

I just got what is the first remix of Jack Beat's newest bleep from Keen. They do this sort of breakbeat rendition, chopping up the original like there's no tomorrow.

And last but not least sees a new bleep from Polizei, the Canadian dubstep producer featured on this blog earlier this year. His mellowed out wobbles do not reach this new bleep too much, but his style shines through still. Also, if you listen to it with good headphones or speakers, you'll hear some pretty intense sub bass in the lower frequency range. Salute.
