Introducing LeaveLate Records

LeaveLate Records is a Lithuanian record label that welcomes all genre's of electronic music and love everything as long as it's "not a copy of a copy." With that they sent over their first two releases for free. True to their word, the music crosses over into a lot of different genre's.

First up we've got the 'F Pill EP' from Earl Black. With remixes that cover Techno, Electro House, Dubstep, and some sort of cross between Indie Dance and Trance, this releases stands out. For real. Definitely worth looking into if you want something different from your general run of the mill.

Support the Earl and buy his EP if you like it here.

Then we've got the No Control EP by Dogs Under Control. Tech-house, Electro Thrash, and something new, in the original mix, that I want to call Drumstep, but it's really its own thing. Pretty cool.

Goodie Bag #11

Alright, last post for today. A Goodie Bag, and boy are we overflowing with some serious goodies.

First up; Nero's newest remix of Chase & Status. Not their best remix ever but still excellent and worth putting on repeat for a while. Even though the bit rate says 320kbps, waveform transcode analysis indicates that it's been re-reupped to a rate. This means that someone took a 128 or a 192 and exported it as a 320. Oh well, it still sounds great as far as I can tell, but if you're going to drop it on a big system, you might want to buy it when it comes out.

Chase & Status - Let You Go (Nero Remix) [NICE!] YSI

Next, Last Japan sent out his newest bleep on his blog, NEOFRO (which I recommend you follow), it's a tribal/electro house rendition that might be a bit hard to mix, but it's still got that funky feel to it that he is quickly becoming known for. Called his 'Crash Bandicoot Riddim,' Last Japan is proving himself. I hope he continues to make experiments like this one.

Last Japan - Scanners (Original Mix)
<3 YSI

Then Douster, that king of funky Jungle house, has remixed Plateau Repas and released it for free on his soundcloud page. Big ups.

Plateau Repas - Vampire (Douster Remix) YSI

Chew Fu comes back at us with another killer remix. This time he shy's away from mainstream BS and instead goes towards the old school driven world of Yolanda Be Cool and Dcup.

Yolanda Be Cool, Dcup - We No Speak Americano (Chew Fu Rosetta Stone Fix) <3 YSI

Paysites - Beatport

Calvin Harris shows us that he is good with other artists bleeps as well as his own. This time remixing Kelis.

Kelis - 4th Of July (Calvin Harris Remix) YSI

Kick Kick Snare shared an interesting remix of the classic, Santeria from Sublime. JPOD adds a dubstep-ish feel to it.

Sublime - Santeria (JPOD Remix) <3 YSI

Team Jeuce put out a bootleg remix of Hide & Seek a while back. Never got around to posting it, but here it is now. This is probably the 128582452450523140th remix of this bleep that I've posted, and probably the last unless I hear something phenomenal.

Imogen Heap - Hide & Seek (Jeuce Remix) YSI

And last but not least, we've got a brand spanking new little bleep from Helsinki 78-82. The Topbillin crew forwarded this one over to me, and it's off their new EP. It is exquisite Nu Disco with flavors of Electro, and House. Enjoy.

Helsinki 78-82 - Project 2 (Original Mix) [SWEET] YSI

Keep The Fire Remixes

The Three-Six-Zero Group has decided to give away their most recent batch of remixes of Keep The Fire by the Goldhawks away for free. This is incredible considering the lineup includes superstars Bar 9 and Reset!, as well as Justin Faust and Softwar. We've got Dubstep, Electro, Nu Disco, and Indie Dance at their best. Normally, this is a $10+ value here guys. Get it while it's hot.

Remixes Of Danger

Stumbled across a few remixes the other day. When I found out they were all by Danger I just about freaked. Danger is one of the premiere French Electro artists, and was there at the beginning along with Justice and SebastiAn. His style is oddly reminiscent of old school Super Nintendo soundtrack themes with solid percussion, and a Nu Skool flavor. Today I present remixes from the Black Eyed Peas, and Lil Jon. WhichI guess makes sense, considering he produced So Gangster, a Hip-hop album, back in 2007.

The Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be (Danger Remix) YSI

Lil Jon - Give It All You Got feat. Kee (Danger Remix) YSI

Bonus: A bleep I posted a while back that will probably make it to the next round of remixes of Danger.

Danger - 4h30 (F.O.O.L Remix) <3

I Guess We're Going Clubbing Again

Found these little bleeps in my Soundcloud dropbox the other day. Club remixes from a man who goes by Temabes that will make your mainstream dancing peeps dance their asses off. These remixes sound like they belong in one of Laidback Luke's sets. Pop with a funky electro twist.

Mohombi - Bumpy Ride (Temabes Remix) YSI

Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie (Temabes Remix) <3 YSI

Bonus: Swedish House Mafia vocal bootleg.

Swedish House Mafia - One (Sean Linman Bootleg) YSI

Sweet Little Bleeps: Selections In Bass Vol. 1

Alright people, I'm going out of town soon for a week, so I won't be able to do a lot of posting between now and then. However, before I leave I'm going to give you guys a special little present. It's a mini-mix I created around several limited release/unreleased little Dubstep bleeps I've come into possession of, (including Flux Pavilion's remix of Cracks from the Freestylers) and added some classics. I can't give them away, but they are all positively too good not to share, so here's my compromise. I hope you guys enjoy.

With over a dozen bleeps with unconfirmed identities, this mix will be one for the ages.

New Mashup: Kaskade

Stumbled upon a little gem the other day when I saw Kaskade update his facebook status. Apparently he has combined Brazil (2nd edit) from Deadmau5 with an acapella from his favorite vocalist, Haley Gibby (pictured). It's progressive house at its finest as only the Mau5 and Kaskade can bring you.

Deadmau5 vs. Haley - Falling In Love With Brazil (Kaskade's Mash Up) YSI

Also, released exclusively to CD a while back, is another Deadmau5/Haley mash up of off The Grand mixed by Kaskade. This time taking the Mau5's remix of NuFunk from Nubreed. The deliciousness of her vocals makes it feel like it was made for this bleep, instead of mashed up into it. Such is the power of a good DJ.

When You're At A Rave, Party Responsibly

That's right kids. Everyone wants to be a part of the Electronic music scene these days. So many that the Ultra Music Festival was sold out both days. They announced it will be 3 days instead of 2 next year (which blows my mind). With so many people out at these festivals, things can get out of hand.

Check out this video of footage taken at the Electronic Daisy Festival in Los Angeles earlier this year.

This was happening for a couple of reasons. First off, the organizers of EDC must realize that everyone wants to be on the main floor near the DJ, and forcing people who don't have good tickets to the stands makes everyone there want to come down where people are (probably) having a better time.
However, if you are to attend one of these raves, I caution you. There were only a few areas to 'exit' to the stadium seating that were maybe 5 feet wide. People tried to enter instead, and were funneled into the area with a lot of pressure to go through. If you see this happening, don't be stupid. Find another way in if you have to be on the main floor, but for fucks sake, do not risk your well being trying to get 100 feet closer to the DJ.

This just in from Germany's biggest festival, the Love Parade.

You can read the full article here.

Our hearts go out to the families of those lost during these events. The festivals are meant to be peaceful places, and although the people organizing them can do a better job, take it upon yourself to be safe. Hopefully, in the future accomodations can be made for the growing interest in these events.

Joker

Joker is a true innovator in the Dubstep scene today. Known for his unique sound thrown around a deep resonate moog bass, he continues to astound me with the quality of his bleeps. He has a hectic DJ schedule that is mostly confined to the borders of the UK, but if you get the chance to see him live DO IT...it will be worth it. He is definitely one of my favorite dub artists of all time, and the replay value on some of these bleeps (posted below) is very high.

Joker - Digidesign (Original Mix) [SWEET!!!] YSI

Paysites - Beatport

Sean Paul - So Fine (Joker Remix) <3 YSI

And last but not least, a brand spanking new and unreleased remix of Turboweekend.

Turboweekend -Trouble Is (Joker Remix) [NICE!] YSI

Joker has gotten the attention of many over the last few years. Not least of which is turntablist legend, DJ Craze, who does a scratching breakdown routine that is totally ill. The bleep he uses? 'City Hopper' by Joker (and some customized bass to mix in with it).

Datsik Goes Soft?

Found out about a couple of little remixes that Datsik released the other day. Usually when the name Datsik appears in a sentence, the word MASSIVE, or FUCKING HUGE, or some other adjective in all caps appears next to him to describe how big the basslines of his productions are. Not this time.

Today we get to experience the mellower side of Datsik with a couple of remixes of MGMT, M83, and (believe it or not) Coldplay.

Datsik had this to say about his new batch of remixes. [From one of his recent facebook posts]

"...Just to be clear, the bootlegs I gave out are not my latest productions for all of you who think I'm switchin to nothing but main stream remixes and mellow tunes.. I gave them out for free because I thought you guys might enjoy something different. I have plenty of hype shit coming! You can't evolve unless you experiment though, right?"

I guess that clears that up.

Today I've got treats from Major Lazer, Drop The Lime, not to mention Nas and Damian Marley. I'm also including a classic remix from the Mystery Jets.

The fact that he puts his signature sound on it all, is a mark of a true genius. This is guy is an inspiration. GRAB ALL OF THESE NOW!!!

Religion Remixes Big!

Got my hands on a remix from Religion here, courtesy of Gotta Dance Dirty (a blog you guys should all check out, awesome bleeps!), and I gotta say I'm impressed. An original take on a bleep that you all probably know if you've been paying attention to the blogs at all.

MMMatthias vs. Ikki

The latest and greatest from FutureFlashs, and our friends at Keiz Beats puts a brand new remix out there from metalhead gone Electro artist, Ikki. This crazy Spaniard has been destroying almost everything he touches (in a good way), and his newest remix is no exception. Progressive grooves into hardcore Electro explosions describes this one to a 'T,' but don't take my word for it, make up your own mind.

MMMatthias - Lies (Ikki Remix) <3 YSI

Trust the Lies – not the Truth. Make sure to check back up on MMMatthias; his Lies EP is set for release on Beatport later this week (July 16th).

EDIT: Pick it up at Beatport NOW!

And in case you guys missed it, here is a link to what is by far my favorite remix from Ikki. He takes Jimi Hendrix and turns it into something new.

Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child (Ikki Remix) [AWESOME!!!]

BIG Edit

Yes people, one of everyone's favorite hardcore Electro artists, Haezer, released an EP a while back. On it was a remix from the Cyberpunkers that made me do a triple take. I thought that was as good as it was going to get with that release, boy was I wrong.

Just recently, a fellow producer/DJ, who goes by Tomlinson, did an edit that blows me away. By far the best version of WTFIH I've heard.

Ill & Natti Teaser

Hey bleepfans,

I've got a little teaser here from my side project Ill & Natti. In case you don't know, we do a blend between Reggae and Dubstep. The bleep is called Babylon, and it needs some work done. We have to lay down vocals for it, and tighten up some of our layers, but it's almost finished. Here's the instrumental teaser. Hope you guys enjoy.

Ill & Natti - Babylon [Preview] by DJ Reevo

Foxtrot

It's gon' get you, and I ain't talkin' 'bout no po-leece neithah.

Out in stores as of yesterday comes BetaTraXx's newest EP, Foxtrot. Boasting massive remixes from the likes of Kids At The Bar, and Lightsover LA, this release something everyone should take a look at.

Latest From RuN RiOT

This just in. A breaks remix from RuN RiOT of Dan Le Sac vs. Scoopius Pip. It throws down pretty hard in fine breakbeat fashion, and doesn't let go 'til the end. Watch those knife wounds, and enjoy.

Goodie Bag #10

We are into the double digits with the Goodie Bags here, and lots of goodies there are.

First up we've got a Boys Noize remix that's been hitting the blogs hard. I'm a little late with this one, but if you don't have it, then get it now.

N.E.R.D. - Hot-N-Fun feat. Nelly Furtado (Boys Noize Remix) <3 YSI

Staying in the same genre's of Electro crossing over into Hip/hop, DiCkNaStY! has done some remix work of Sweet Little Bleeps favorite, St. Beethoven.

St. Beethoven - Superfuzz (DiCkNaStY! Remix) YSI

Our friends at Barney vs The Dinorsaur have uploaded a steller mix from their very own K.OH!, which samples the new Boondock Saints movie.

Then there's another little Electro remix that our friends at Kiez Beats told me to give away.

Disco Trash Music - Grand Slam (NAFF Remix) YSI

Also, Moonchild comes back with his exquisite Nu Disco sound. This time he does a remix of We No Speak Americano, and has given it away to all his fans on his soundcloud page.

Yolanda Be Cool, DCUP - We No Speak Americano (Moonchild Remix) <3 YSI

Then Neus has done a remix for the Kavinsky - Nightcall remix competition. It's different from a lot of his other stuff, slower and laidback, which I'm totally digging at the moment.

Kavinsky - Nightcall (Neus Remix) YSI

And lastly we go into Dub-land with an old remix of Britney from Vaski. Been meaning to post this for a while, now here it is.

Britney Spears - 3 (Vaski Remix) YSI

Indiekid's Electronic Symphony

You guys remember the post I did a while back that featured Indiekid's remix of Nirvana? Well, that post has since caught the attention of Indiekid himself, who has forwarded his most recent EP over to me to give away to all you freaks. It's called Electronic Symphony and it is hardcore. He is one of the first artists who has sampled his own unreleased classical album and turned it into a modern style of electronic music (after a year of reworking). Indiekid’s sound is cheerful and cheerless, delightful and dark at the same time. His productions might remind you of the very specific sound of French Electro.

Make sure to check out the rest of the 12 bleeps of Electronic Symphony on Beatport, where he pays tribute to Beethoven, as well as Justice, SebastiAn, and Danger. If you like his stuff, $12 for 14 originals isn't a bad deal at all.

Acapella Style

Here's something you don't normally see. I got an email about a very interesting artist that goes by THePETEBOX. This guy does acapella work; he samples and loops his voice in several different layers to create original bleeps that he then beatboxes and often sings over. Reminds me a lot of Beardyman, but he has a lot more of a cleaner style.

Apparently, he is one hell of a live act and is smashing the world circuit apart with his crazy shenanigans, hitting all the major festivals this summer and also working the grand prix's at the same time.

My advice? Have a listen and make up your own mind.

The Neus Essential Mix!

I got a hold of Barney vs. The Dinosaur's recent conniption on Neus' Essential Mix, and I gotta say, it's hot. This guy brings the Electro/Fidget/Hardcore scene to the forefront and doesn't mess around. Although the mix is a bit dated, it's very well put together, and I highly recommend it.

***WARNING*** Not for the faint of heart.
