When You're At A Rave, Party Responsibly

That's right kids. Everyone wants to be a part of the Electronic music scene these days. So many that the Ultra Music Festival was sold out both days. They announced it will be 3 days instead of 2 next year (which blows my mind). With so many people out at these festivals, things can get out of hand.

Check out this video of footage taken at the Electronic Daisy Festival in Los Angeles earlier this year.

This was happening for a couple of reasons. First off, the organizers of EDC must realize that everyone wants to be on the main floor near the DJ, and forcing people who don't have good tickets to the stands makes everyone there want to come down where people are (probably) having a better time.
However, if you are to attend one of these raves, I caution you. There were only a few areas to 'exit' to the stadium seating that were maybe 5 feet wide. People tried to enter instead, and were funneled into the area with a lot of pressure to go through. If you see this happening, don't be stupid. Find another way in if you have to be on the main floor, but for fucks sake, do not risk your well being trying to get 100 feet closer to the DJ.

This just in from Germany's biggest festival, the Love Parade.

Our hearts go out to the families of those lost during these events. The festivals are meant to be peaceful places, and although the people organizing them can do a better job, take it upon yourself to be safe. Hopefully, in the future accomodations can be made for the growing interest in these events.
