If you've been reading my blog, then you came upon my post on Nikoi (aka Mr Amenbreak) a while back. He is a producer who has a fresh take on DnB and dubstep, and his sound can be both smooth and frantic, great for listening and playing in the club.Having been around since 1986 as a DJ, Mr Amenbreak brings an enormous amount of veteran savvy to the scene, paying homage to the beginnings of DnB culture, and at the same time pushing his production level to 2011 with a fresh sound. His style is undoubtedly his own; melodic, grungy, a lullaby to put young children to sleep, a drop to raise the hairs on the back of your neck, and percussion to wow your eardrums. His ability to excite the listener with his drum-lines, in particular, makes an impression. Hopefully we will see this man take off in the near future.
