Nero Essential Mix

I don't usually post back to back mixes on this blog very often, but this one is just WAY too good not to share. Nero has done their first ever official Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1. It is filled with classic Nero remixes and originals and like any good essential mix, features loads of pristine sound unreleased bleeps (including their HOT remix of Stress [#1 there]). They blend it together seamlessly that will leave you crying out loud for more! Pick up the set right now!

* - Denotes Unreleased Bleep!

Lords Of Dubstep!

I want to take a little bit of time and blog space here to talk about Nero. Daniel Stephens and Joe Ray hail out of the great city of London, the place where, arguably, dubstep was born. Originally a DnB artist, their first huge hit came from remixing 'Blinded By The Lights' from The Streets. This little bleep was so big it almost singlehandedly transformed dubstep from an underground genre that was hardly heard, to a worldwide phenomenon in electronic music.

Since then, it seems Dan and Joe have had the midas touch, remixing everyone from Deadmau5 to N.E.R.D. I know that whenever I see they have a new release, I get excited because they have a reputation of excellence. Their newest remix of Plan B is no exception. Recently, released exclusively to Discodust (who is posting dubstep on the regular, to my surprise and pleasure) Nero's remix shows you what they do. They don't have to take their music in a new direction or change up their style because they deliver. Every time.

Also make sure to stay tuned for their official remix of 'Stress' by Justice. It's sure to be epic, as is demonstrated by the video below.

Goodie Bag #11

Alright, last post for today. A Goodie Bag, and boy are we overflowing with some serious goodies.

First up; Nero's newest remix of Chase & Status. Not their best remix ever but still excellent and worth putting on repeat for a while. Even though the bit rate says 320kbps, waveform transcode analysis indicates that it's been re-reupped to a rate. This means that someone took a 128 or a 192 and exported it as a 320. Oh well, it still sounds great as far as I can tell, but if you're going to drop it on a big system, you might want to buy it when it comes out.

Next, Last Japan sent out his newest bleep on his blog, NEOFRO (which I recommend you follow), it's a tribal/electro house rendition that might be a bit hard to mix, but it's still got that funky feel to it that he is quickly becoming known for. Called his 'Crash Bandicoot Riddim,' Last Japan is proving himself. I hope he continues to make experiments like this one.

Then Douster, that king of funky Jungle house, has remixed Plateau Repas and released it for free on his soundcloud page. Big ups.

Chew Fu comes back at us with another killer remix. This time he shy's away from mainstream BS and instead goes towards the old school driven world of Yolanda Be Cool and Dcup.

Paysites - Beatport

Calvin Harris shows us that he is good with other artists bleeps as well as his own. This time remixing Kelis.

Kick Kick Snare shared an interesting remix of the classic, Santeria from Sublime. JPOD adds a dubstep-ish feel to it.

Team Jeuce put out a bootleg remix of Hide & Seek a while back. Never got around to posting it, but here it is now. This is probably the 128582452450523140th remix of this bleep that I've posted, and probably the last unless I hear something phenomenal.

And last but not least, we've got a brand spanking new little bleep from Helsinki 78-82. The Topbillin crew forwarded this one over to me, and it's off their new EP. It is exquisite Nu Disco with flavors of Electro, and House. Enjoy.
