Goodie Bag #13

It's been quite too long since the last Goodie Bag, and I plan on making up for lost time.



We're going to start things off right with Breakage's newest remix. As you know Breakage is famous for his melodic minimalist style (which in other forms of electronic music wouldn't be all that minimalist), the style that attracts veteran dubstep listeners as well as new dub heads. This time he remixes Clare Maguire and makes her groove in a way only he can. Watch out for the official release on October 18th, and big ups to Discodust for posting it first.

Continuing on with the spirit of the last bleep comes one of Omega's newest bootlegs. It's got a mellow-step (or whatever) vibe to it that I'm totally digging.

Definitely not something you see every day is a free giveaway on Beatport. However, recently I found a little remix that The Bloody Beetroots did given away for nothing as part of the 'Focus On France' release. It's not their best work, but it still blends together disco with electro in such a way that makes you like a deer in the headlights; frozen in place, waiting for the inevitable slam to hit you in the face.

It's been a while since I've posted anything on Haezer. The man is famous for pioneering his own unique take on electro thrash, and he recently gave away a little bleep in perfect 320 that is different from his usual style. I'm a bit late with this one, but get it if you haven't already.

Udachi gave away this little bleep for free on his soundcloud. It goes back and forth between 70's TV show disco themes to dark, dank dubstep in the spirit of Skream's old stuff. Grab this one up now.

Yes people, one of everyone's favorite hardcore Electro artists, Haezer, released an EP a while back. On it was a remix from the Cyberpunkers that made me do a triple take. I thought that was as good as it was going to get with that release, boy was I wrong.

Just recently, a fellow producer/DJ, who goes by Tomlinson, did an edit that blows me away. By far the best version of WTFIH I've heard.

Happy Easter everybody! Got more of a basket here than a bag :P. Here we go.

First up we have the best D&B remix of Fake Blood out there from Terravita. Just take Mars, raise the tempo by about 50 bpms, and throw in the crazy D&B drums, and wah-lah, you have a recipe for a fantastic remix.

Then there's a bleep that I heard at Ultra Music Fest no fewer than 3 times from the Bassbin Twins, Rusko, and Steve Aoki. This was blowing up on the blogs a while back, but in case you've missed it, pick up a copy now. It's a Lion King remix.

And speaking of Steve Aoki, Daniel Dexter did a fantastic edit of his remix of Gifted from N.A.S.A. It sounds like Crookers took ecstasy and laid down a beat.

Old Post: Haezer

Been in contact with Eben Smal of Haezer recently. This guys' sound really dominates the dancefloor. Combining elements of punk, breakbeat and industrial music with his already glitch-ridden Electroclash sound, Haezer cites old punk bands like The Clash, Bad Religion and Propaghandhi as influences, as well as electro all-stars MSTRKRFT, Aphex Twin and The Prodigy.

We are very happy to present here a few of his older numbers. You never quite know what you'll get when listening to his bleeps, but one thing is for certain. You won't be disappointed.
