Dillon Francis

Dillon Francis is a Los Angelean with some seriously underrated talent. It seems like the guy is capable of remaking any of the popular sounds that the A-list electro house and dubstep producers use in his music. I hear influences from people like Wolfgang Gartner, Rusko, Flux Pavilion, and Afrojack. Although he has been hyped quite on bit on other blogs (like Gotta Dance Dirty), he has still slipped under the radar and gone mostly unnoticed in the scene. Hopefully that will change soon.

If you haven't heard this guys bleeps, you're in for a serious treat! Check out some pop remixes and originals below!

Zedd

I want to take a little bit of time, and blog space, to talk about Zedd (not to be confused with Zeds Dead). Zedd is a fantastic electro and house producer out of Germany who has very quickly risen to an A-list producer.

In 2009 he started producing electronic club music, to much and quick acclaim. After a peroid of only few months he attained a remarkable level and participated in Beatport's "Armand Van Helden / Strictly Rhythm Remix Contest", which he went on to win. This opened up a number of new possibilities for him, and only shortly after, he won his second contest on Beatport, the "Fatboy Slim / Skint Remix Contest."

Both of these have propelled him to new heights as he was then commissioned to remix bleeps for Skrillex, FLX, and the Black Eyed Peas.

Today I'm going to share with you guys a few remixes he's done that are damn near next level (particularly that BEP's one). Enjoy.

Wolfgang Gartner's Essential Mix

That's right folks, the King of electro house finally makes his debut on BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix. Wolfgang Gartner brings his 'A' game big time with a stunning 2 hour mix that is amongst the best I've ever heard. Lots of unreleased bleeps here, with one from the man himself towards the end of his set ('818').

I caught him at the Starscape festival last June, and he was excellent. I definitely recommend seeing him live if you get the chance.

Deadmau5 + Wolfgang Gartner!!!!!!

DUDES! This in not more than half an hour ago from Wolfgang Gartner.

"The collaboration with Deadmau5 called "Animal Rights" will be out on Sept 6th on Beatport. It got some play on Radio 1 today so now there are some lo-fi previews floating around. That's all for now."

That's right folks, the collaboration between the King of Electro House, and the Mau5 is here. Get it at Beatport a week from Monday (the 6th). This is very exciting people, and it makes this humble blogger feel like a little school girl.

EDIT: Now available on Beatport!

Goodie Bag #9

Oh man, what an amazing list of little bleeps I've got right here, and I'm going to share them all with you guys right now. First up, Zeds Dead has done it again. The beat drops at 1:00, and when it does, damn that shit is HOT! Seriously, they use something like 6+ different basses, some of them wobbling some of them not, and the countless vocal samples they use from various Popular bleeps from the last decade makes this one for the record books!

Zeds Dead - Here Comes The Boom (Original Mix) [AWESOME!!!] YSI

Next up comes Ikki's latest remix. Dropping in fine fashion he does a remake of Pope Of Dope, and believe you me, it's totally dope!

Party Harders, The Subs - Pope Of Dope (Ikki Remix) <3 YSI

Virtual Boy also just released a brand new little bleep to the public after an absence of about a year. If Bassnectar made ethereal Dubstep music these days, this would be it.

Virtual Boy - Runaway (Original Mix) YSI

For a long time I haven't heard anything new of note from Chew Fu. He did a stunning remix a while back of Bad Romance from Lady Gaga, but since then it's seemed like all of the wind went out of his sails, and he just didn't go anywhere special with his remixes. Now, that has all changed with his newest remix.

Timbaland - If We Ever Meet Again feat. Katy Perry (Chew Fu Club Mix) [NICE!!!] YSI

Then St. Beethoven has another banging ass remix, this time of Kavinsky. These guys have been hitting the spot lately (especially with their Harder Better Faster Stronger remix they did, which you can find here), so make sure to give it a listen.

Kavinsky - Nightcall (St. Beethoven Remix) <3 YSI

Then lastly we have a Break-beat refix of Sweet Little Bleeps favorite Wolfgang Gartner, and another one of Bob Sinclar. Check it out.

Wolfgang Gartner - Undertaker (TJFX Re-rack) <3 YSI

Bob Sinclair - I Feel For You (Robin Steal Breaks Edit) [Laidback and smooth!] YSI

Goodie Bag #5

Lots of goodies in the bag today, we'll start out with the bootlegs.

There are a couple that have been blasting from my speakers for a while now, and I'm excited to share them with you. We'll start with the best Dub remix of Rihanna I've probably ever heard, and another Dub refix of Portishead.

Doc Trashz vs. Rihanna - Rude Boy (Docstep 2010 Reboot)

[NICE!] Alt: YSI

Portishead - Over (HABSTRAKT Dubstep Refix) <3 Alt: YSI

From here we'll continue on to Electro House territory with big time favorites Micky Slim, and Wolfgang Gartner.

Blur - Song 2 (Micky Slim's Yeah To The Woo Booty Mix) Alt: YSI

Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be (Wolfgang Gartner Remix) Alt: YSI

Continuing into the harder side of Electro, an artist has come to my attention recently who makes me want to loose all of my marbles. His name is ninteyNine, and he remixed a We Are Tokyo bleep and it makes me want to go crazy! Big ups to Chemical Jump for posting.

We Are Tokyo - Best In Me (ninetyNine's Nightmare Remix) [AWESOME!!!] Alt: YSI

Then there's a great little Neus remix I picked up from El3ctro Night.

Breakbot - Iron Zombie (Neus Remix) Alt: YSI

And these last two I almost didn't post, because they've been on every single blog EVER, but in case you didn't get around to downloading these the first 245857392038 times, here they are now.

Benny Benassi, The Bizz - Satisfaction (Afrojack Remix) Alt: YSI

Erol Alkan, Boys Noize - Avalanche (Religion Remix) Alt: YSI
