Old Post: The Sky Was Pink

A while back, Nathan Fake put together a little ambient electronic bleep that was quite sweet.

It merged together in an unsynchronized orgy or sound that managed to stay in beat regardless. It was one of the best electronica bleeps of 2004. On that same release was a remix from James Holden that took the emerging techno genre to a whole new level.

Holden's remix takes the best of the original, and adds a four on the floor feel, and it was something quite unprecedented when it came out.

Then in 2008 Deadmau5 used his considerable producing talent and created an unofficial and unreleased edit, which he's only played in some of his live events and on BBC Radio. Here is a ripped copy from his Essential Mix.

Bonus: What Beatport describes as an electro house remix, and an unreleased progressive remix.

Old Post: Ikki - Metal Meets Electro

Hailing from the great city of Madrid, Ikki is a bit of a mysterious man. I couldn't find out hardly anything about him besides his DJ schedule, which is hectic as shiiiiit. He'll be in 5 different European countries in the coming month.

What I do know is that he blends together Electro with Metal. I've always thought it would make sense for people who like Hard Rock, and Metal to naturally transition into Electro for dance music, and Ikki allows those people to transition well.

For the rest of us, Ikki is coming up with some really brilliant remixes of popular artists including Metallica, Nirvana, Slipknot, and even Stevie Wonder, Deadmau5, and Nathan Fake in the bleeps below. Also, make sure to check out his sweet remix of Eternal September's cover of 'Just Dance.'

Lady Gaga, Eternal September - Just Dance (Ikki Remix) [Hilarious and awesome!]

Then there's his rebeat of 'Enter Sandman.'
