Got a couple of little bleeps here to tide you over until my next Goodie Bag. They are both Dubstep remixes, and they are awesome. First up probably the best and maybe only decent Dub remix of Booka Shade. Well produced and a great remix from idea to conception. Make sure to follow Omega on his soundcloud page.

Then there's a fantastic edit of Sierra Leone that's worth checking out. C-nergy was ballsy enough to post this on the Kaskade - Dynasty remix page. Kind of weird, as far as marketing yourself goes, but I found him and am sharing his bleep with you, so he must of done something right.

Been travelin' the internetz and having to delve into uncharted territory to find some of the little bleeps that Mt Eden Dubstep have put out there.



Being a mysterious producer, not a lot is known about him (or them). I do know he is from either Australia, or New Zealand, and he has taken a unique spin on what Dubstep is all about, spawning countless copycats.



Mt Eden Dubstep goes into the melodic sort of happier version of Dub. Instead of huge wobble basses and pounding kicks and snares, we get a deeper, groovy feel to each of his melodies which leaves most people wanting more each time. His remixes are fantastic when you're in your car, and also work if you play them earlier in the night in clubs and at parties. I don't have all the stuff he's put out, but I have some, and I'm going to share it with you guys now.

Okay, so...in 2007 London based Dubstep producer, Burial, released his second album, 'Untrue' on Hyperdub Records. It was a sensational hit in the underground scene in its time, and one little bleep in particular stood out (at least it did for me) from all the rest. It was called Archangel, and you can pick up your copy at Beatport, or djdownload.

Archangel has since gotten some attention from other producers. Mt Eden Dubstep decided to do a cut of it that was even more meditative and downtempo than the original.

Then there's an excellent bootleg from Zeno that still maintains that rich reverb but has a breakdown that hits a lot harder.

Lastly there's a positively groovy remix from Boy 8-Bit. He manages to maintain the flow and feeling of the original, while switching up the bpm's and making it more of a housey remix.
