In typical big label fashion, Deadmau5 is releasing individual bleeps from his artist album (4x4 = 12) as singles before the whole thing gets dropped on December 7th.
Today sees the release of 'Right This Second,' what is possibly the most exciting little bleep I've seen this guy release in ages. Previously dubbed 'Moonlight Sonata-esque' by his fans, and properly so, this one is something for the all time greatest album that I hope won't come out for a long time.
He does an amazing job of going back and forth between crazy stunning Electro basslines, and melodies that are quite classical in nature.

5-star post -- all hyped for the new album now.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loving this album! :) it's like an electronic smörgåsbord of melodic delights, brimming with tech/house/electro/trance and minimal over and undertones.I do have "Right this second" as my ring tone and do like the minimal aspects to the track, building and building to eventually implode and then unfold into a very trance like melody.I prefer "Cthulhu sleeps" and think it has to be the darkest and dirtiest of the tracks on the album, which rings true from the title name being inspired from a fictional ethereal beast created by the novelest H.P Lovecraft. He was basically to horror, what Hitchcock was to Suspense.
